The heats beats down over crystal-clear waters, your skin sun-kissed within minutes. Marine iguanas casually bask on the pavement, their cracked and peeling black skin soaking up their heat for the day. Pelicans team up, some creating distractions as comrades try to snatch fish from the local market from above while the sea lions try their best to be discreet with their land approach. Every night the pier is bustling with life - sharks, stingrays and birds feast upon the fish and insects drawn to the light while the smallest of hatchlings seek shelter in the mangroves. Man and animal appear to have a beautiful and harmonious relationship on this island paradise although the Archipelago is suffering greatly. Much work needs to be done for it to be saved.
